ARCHIVED - What are the current Covid restrictions in the Murcia region: January 10
Covid measures have been extended until January 14 by the Murcia government
Despite the sixth wave’s upward trend continuing in the Region of Murcia, the Health authorities announced on Monday January 10 that the Region will not be implementing any further measures and is going to extend the current restrictions, which were imposed on Christmas Eve, until January 14.
This means that non-essential businesses still have to close between 1am and 6am, including all bars, restaurants, shops and nightclubs. Dance floors are to remain closed and the limitations on the number of customers per table (10 indoors and 12 outdoors) are also remaining in place.
The regional government also announced this Monday January 10 that Covid booster jabs are now open to everyone over the age of 45 who had their second dose at least six months ago.
Instructions: Book a Covid vaccine or booster appointment in Murcia
In addition, the Ministry of Health has submitted a request to the High Court in the Region of Murcia to extend the validity of Covid certificates until February 4, as the passes are currently set to expire on January 14 2022.
Once these restrictions expire on January 14, the government will likely extend or modify the measures, depending on whether the curve of the sixth wave has finally reached its peak. At the moment, the entire Region, along with every municipality are in the very high-risk level (alert level 4).
