Where is the Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort?

Where is the nearest airport for the Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort?

Where is the Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort? The Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort is situated on the RM-F19 road at its intersection with the RM-20, just one kilometre away from the RM-1 motorway between San Javier and Santomera.

The Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort is in the Region of Murcia, (Región de Murcia) in the southwest of Spain. The resort is located within the municipality of Murcia, close to the town of Sucina, about a 20-minute drive inland from the Mar Menor. The Mar Menor is Europe’s largest salt water lake, and is separated from the Mediterranean sea by a narrow channel, so although the water is still salty, it is non-tidal, providing superb sailing conditions and safe bathing, with dozens of soft sandy beaches, which slope very gently into the water.

Where is the Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort? This stretch of coastline is known as the Costa Cálida, or warm coast, Murcia being the warmest land-based region of Spain throughout the year (as opposed to the islands of the Canaries and the Balearics).

The Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort is about a 20-minute drive from the coastal town of San Javier which has beaches on both the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean coast.

The capital City of Murcia is about half an hour to the north, and the major coastal port of Cartagena is about half an hour away to the south, all of them easy to reach on the Region’s motorway network.

The resort is one of six Jack Nicklaus-designed trail resorts, all within an easy drive, so there are five other quality golf courses on these resorts alone, and a least eight within a half an hour drive of the resort.

Where is the Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort?Hiring a car is highly recommended for anyone considering visiting the resort on holiday. The use of seat belts is obligatory in Spain, and all children under the age of 12 must be secured in cars using child seats and restraints, so make sure to advise car hire companies of child ages if booking a rental car for family use.

How to travel between Murcia airport and Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort

The Region of Murcia International Airport in Corvera is just a 20-minute drive from the resort.

Incoming flight details can be found on the Aena.es website which has key sections in English.

There are no direct bus or rail services from the airport to the resort, so a taxi or hire car is the only option.
