The Rincon de la Plaza bar-restaurant in the food market of Alhama de Murcia is run by the same team as the similarly named “El Rincón”, with the main difference being that this one is actually inside the market 
rather than just outside. The food is every bit as good as the fresh produce sold by the market traders, and the atmosphere is bustling as shoppers treat themselves to a well-deserved snack!
It’s a small bar, with seating for only 24 customers inside, but there is also an outdoor terrace on which to enjoy the seafood, hamburgers and tapas which emerge from the kitchen. Apart from seafood, specialities include “marineras” (a round breadstick with Russian salad and an anchovy on top), grilled vegetables and seasonal dishes.
Wi-fi is not available, but credit card payments are accepted.
El Rincón de la Plaza is open every day from 9.00 to 16.00, and on Friday and Saturday evenings from 20.00 to midnight, but closes every year from 15th August to 5th September.
