Average temperatures expected on Saturday
Temperatures are set to plummet in much of Spain over the next couple of days and although the nights will certainly have a wintery feel, the thermometers won’t even come close to the levels experienced during the original ‘Beast from the East’ back in 2018.
In fact, after a fairly chilly end to the working week, the mercury will shoot back up into the 20s in Alicante during what promises to be a mostly bright and sunny weekend.
Thursday February 6

Inland Alicante will be under a yellow alert for low temperatures until mid-morning after a very nippy night, but day-time temperatures across the province should only fall by a degree or two on Thursday.
After an overcast start, the day should be mostly clear or partly cloudy, brightening up considerably in the afternoon.
Friday February 7

The cloud cover will become more widespread on Friday, deepening to overcast skies later in the day, when there’s a chance of light, scattered showers. Temperatures won’t vary much but it could be a bit frosty inland.
South-westerly winds will become blustery on the coast during the afternoon.
Saturday February 8

Daytime temperatures will shoot up to 20ºC or 21ºC in parts of Alicante on Saturday, although the day will still be rather cloudy and some more showers are likely in the early morning.
Sunday February 9

Sadly, the spring-like temperatures were very short-lived and the mercury will fall across the board on Sunday. The day will be partly cloudy, brightening up towards the evening.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante this weekend
- Thursday February 6: Min 3ºC; Max 17ºC
- Friday February 7: Min 3ºC; Max 18ºC
- Saturday February 8: Min 5ºC; Max 21ºC
- Sunday February 9: Min 4ºC; Max 17ºC
