ARCHIVED - X Factor and rugby star Levi Davis still missing in Spain one month on
The 24-year-old’s passport was discovered in Barcelona two weeks ago
Family and friends of Worthing Raiders player and former UK X Factor contestant Levi Davis are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare as the investigation into his whereabouts appears to have come to a standstill. Levi disappeared from Barcelona on October 29 and apart from a few dubious reported sightings, hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
Levi originally travelled to Ibiza for a break with friends after suffering a sports injury but left suddenly with only a small backpack, claiming he was catching the ferry to Barcelona to visit people he knew there. The last official sighting of the 24-year-old is CCTV footage of him leaving the Old Irish Pub in the city’s La Rambla tourist hotspot shortly after 10pm.
Police confirm that Levi hasn’t used his phone or accessed his bank accounts since October 29 but even more worrying is the fact that his passport was discovered discarded a couple of weeks after he vanished.
Mum Julie said: “This is a very worrying development because you cannot do anything in Barcelona without a passport.
“Besides travel, you cannot book into a hotel or even rent somewhere without one.
“We know that his phone and two bank accounts have been untouched since he disappeared and so this is another blow.”

Levi’s friend Tom Varndell, who has been actively involved in the search for the rugby star, said that he left Ibiza without any cash or spare clothes and he is now deeply concerned for his safety, especially since the young man has “struggled with his mental health” in the past.
Julie has expressed her frustration with the Spanish authorities, describing the investigation as “very slow”.
“Since the last thing we heard about the passport, there’s been no more information,” she explained, adding that the last few weeks have been “the scariest time” of her life.
A month on from disappearance, Levi’s mother has made an emotional plea to her son:
“We’re all missing you, all the family care for you so much. We just want you home, son.
“Please come home and we can sort out whatever is going on, together.”
