Friday 16th December

20.00: “La Belleza está en el Interior” at the Casa de la Cultura Francisco Rabal.

Saturday 17th December

20.00: El Soldadito de Plomo (The Lead Soldier) at the Auditorio Infanta Elena.

Sunday 18th December 

10.00: Fun run and race up to the castle starting on the esplanade by the port and the statue of Icarus. Route: Explanada, Paseo de Parra, Pico de L’Aguilica, Paseo de Parra. 

12.30 to 14.30 and 16.00 to 19.00: Christmas workshop for children in the Plaza Gutiérrez Mellado, featuring face-painting, cycle-cars, etc. 

18.00 and 20.00: Sinergia dance studio Christmas gala at the Auditorio Infanta Elena.

Monday 19th December

20.00: “La Belleza está en el Interior” at the Casa de la Cultura Francisco Rabal.

Tuesday 20th December

17.00: Children’s carol concert in the Plaza de España. 

20.00: “Ladrona de palabras”, children’s theatre at the Casa de la Cultura Francisco Rabal.

21st to 23rd December: Christmas market in the Plaza de España (postponed from the previous weekend due to adverse weather conditions).

Wednesday 21st December

19.00: “La Cerillera”, children’s theatre in the Plaza de España.

Thursday 22nd December

Window dressing competition in the streets of Águilas

19.00: “Cuento de navidad”, children’s theatre in the Plaza de España.

19.30: Nativity scene competition in the Aula de Cultura of Cajamurcia.

Friday 23rd December

17.00 and 18.00: Aladdin the Musical at the Auditorio Infanta Elena.

19.00: Santa Claus arrives in the Plaza de España!

21.00: Cuadrillas groups perform traditional Christmas music at the Casa de la Cultura Francisco Rabal.

Sunday 25th December

13.00: Christmas Mass and procession at the church in the tiny village of Cuesta de Gos.

16.00: The festivities continue in Cuesta de Gos with the traditional performance by the Cuadrillas.

Monday 26th December

17.00: Balloon-modeling, face-painting and other games for children in the Plaza de España.

Tuesday 27th December

19.00: Orchestral concert for all the family at the Auditorio Infanta Elena.

Wednesday 28th December

16.00 (approx): Auction of dances and music from the cuadrillas in the village of El Garrobillo.

18.30: “La Juguetería Fantástica” children’s theatre at the Casa de la Cultura Francisco Rabal.

20.00: Grand Christmas concert at the Auditorio Infanta Elena.

Thursday 29th December

20.00: Live music from Pangea in the Plaza de España. 

21.00: Chère Piaf, a musical tribute to Edith Piaf at the Auditorio Infanta Elena.

Friday 30th December

17.00 and 19.30: Puppet theatre in the Plaza de España. 

Saturday 31st December/Sunday 1st January

00.01: Live music from Nagha in the Plaza de España.

Monday 2nd January

17.00 and 19.30: Puppet theatre in the Plaza de España. 

21.00: New Year’s concert at the Auditorio Infanta Elena.

Wednesday 4th January

17.00 and 19.30: Aventura en Nunca Jamás, a Peter Pan musical at the Auditorio Infanta Elena.

Thursday 5th January

19.00: The Three Kings arrive in Águilas and parade through the streets of the town.

20.00 Photocall in the Plaza de España.

Friday 6th January

10.30: Three Kings cycle ride from Plaza de España to Paseo de Parra, the auditorium, the tunnel, the Hornillo roundabout and back.

Sunday 7th January

20.00: Cuento XXIII de Navidad, based on Dickens' A Christmas Carol, at the Auditorio Infanta Elena.

Other forthcoming events include the children’s entertainment group “La Pandilla de Drilo” at the auditorium in 15th January and the annual fiestas in the village of Tébar on 21st and 22nd January.
