12-year-old boy drowns in a swimming pool in Mijas
The incident took place in a house in calle Azor in the urbanisation of El Coto on the Costa del Sol

A 12-year-old boy drowned late this Monday June 2 in a swimming pool in the Andalucía town of Mijas in the province of Málaga, according to the emergency services 112, part of the Andalusian Emergency Agency.
The incident took place in a house in Calle Azor in the urbanisation of El Coto at around 8.30pm, when a witness alerted the coordination centre to the drowning of a minor.
The Guardia Civil, Local Police and the Andalusian Health Service emergency services were called to the scene and confirmed the death of the minor.
No further details about the youth’s identity nor the details surrounding how the incident occurred have been revealed by official sources.
There was a scare in a Mallorca hotel this weekend when a 4-year-old British boy got his hand stuck in the swimming pool’s open skimmer and firefighters had to cut it out.
