A Murcian city named one of the 10 best places to live in Spain
It was the only municipality in the Region of Murcia to make the top 10 list

Anyone thinking about where to settle in Spain might want to take a closer look at Cartagena after the popular Murcia city secured a place among the country's top 10 locations for quality of life.
The ranking, based on research carried out by Madrid World Capital (MWCC), compared 62 cities across Spain using a range of factors that influence everyday life.
Rather than focusing solely on sunshine or house prices, the study looked at issues such as healthcare, cost of living, purchasing power, housing affordability, pollution levels, crime rates and commuting times.
Cartagena came in eighth place overall, making it the only municipality in the Region of Murcia to secure a spot in the top 10.
One of the key reasons for its strong performance was the quality of its healthcare services, which the report identified as one of the city's major strengths. The study also described Cartagena as one of Spain's more affordable places to live.
According to data included in the report, the average cost of buying an 80m² property in Cartagena is €158,436, while renting a home of the same size costs around €783 per month.
The top three positions in Spain were taken by Pamplona, Logroño and Oviedo. Santander finished fourth thanks to its reputation for safety and tranquillity, while Burgos was recognised for its relatively low cost of living.
Valencia secured sixth place, helped by its growing international reputation as a desirable place to live, while Castellón de la Plana ranked seventh due to its combination of coastal living and affordability.
Behind Cartagena came Vigo in ninth place and León in tenth, with the latter praised for its gastronomy, leisure options and strong purchasing power.
