ARCHIVED - Almost 50,000 euros will be spent remodelling Moraira urban forest
The plan is to extend the forest area at the central park in the Marina Alta town and introduce new plant species
Teulada-Moraira Town Hall plans to breathe new air into Moraira's urban forest park and garden and remodel the area following an investment of 48,242 euros.
The project, which began on Thursday January 27, will consist of repairing deteriorated paths and remodelling the lawn and Mediterranean forest area, which will be extended with the introduction of new native plant species and planting of hedges.
Dilapidated kerbs will be replaced and a drainage and irrigation system will be installed. Plaques will also be erected offering information about the new indigenous species that will be planted "in Moraira's green lung".
