AndalucÃa weekend weather forecast May 8-11: Thunderstorms in the east and brighter skies in the west
Stormy spells inland, clearer conditions along the coast
After a rather changeable start to the week, the next few days in Andalucía bring a real contrast in conditions, depending on where you are. The east will see more active weather with showers and the odd storm, particularly in the mountains, while the west and Mediterranean coast will enjoy more stable, even sunnier skies at times. Temperatures are staying on the comfortable side for now, with some gradual warming by the weekend.Thursday May 8
Andalucía weather forecast, Thursday May 8Expect a cloudy day across much of the region, with showers likely around Cádiz and Tarifa, and particularly intense downpours inland in the east, especially around Jaén and Granada later in the afternoon. Some of these storms could be quite heavy and may include hail. Temperatures will dip slightly, except along the coast where they’ll hold steady. Winds will be from the west, light to moderate inland, and picking up around the Mediterranean coast during the day.

Andalucía weather forecast, Friday May 9Cloud cover will linger in many areas, and while light and scattered showers can’t be ruled out, they’re much less likely near coastal spots like Málaga or Almería. Mist and patchy morning fog may affect inland valleys. Minimum temperatures will stay where they are, but maximums should edge upwards, especially around Córdoba and Huelva. Westerly winds will stay gentle inland but strengthen slightly along the coast.
Saturday May 10

Showers are still on the cards in the afternoon, mainly in the eastern mountain ranges such as those near Granada, where storms could pop up again. Elsewhere, it will stay mostly dry. Morning mist is expected in places. Daytime temperatures will stay similar or creep up, though minimums could dip a bit in the far west. Winds remain from the west, gaining strength along coastal areas like Cádiz.
Sunday May 11
Andalucía weather forecast, Sunday May 11The week rounds off on a calmer note, with mostly clear skies across the board. Some cloud will build during the afternoon, especially over the mountains, and a short-lived shower or two is possible in eastern areas like Almería. Overall, though, it will feel more settled. Temperatures remain steady and pleasant, and winds will be generally light to moderate from the west.
A more settled pattern seems to be taking hold to close out the weekend, though some eastern parts may still catch the odd rumble of thunder.
