AndalucÃa weekly weather forecast March 10-13: Persistent rain and strong winds expected

Monday March 10

The week begins with overcast skies and widespread showers across Andalucía. These showers may be accompanied by thunderstorms and could be locally heavy, especially in southern areas such as Cádiz and Málaga. Residents in these regions should remain vigilant for potential heavy rainfall. Morning mist and fog are possible, reducing visibility in some areas. Temperatures are expected to rise slightly, with daytime highs ranging from 12°C in Granada to 17°C in Málaga. Southwesterly winds will be light to moderate, but coastal areas, particularly along the Mediterranean, may experience occasional strong gusts.
Tuesday March 11

On Tuesday, cloudy to overcast skies will persist, with widespread showers and occasional thunderstorms. These may be locally heavy or persistent in southern regions, especially during the morning hours in areas like Almería and Motril. As the day progresses, cloud cover and precipitation are expected to decrease, except in the eastern interior regions such as Jaén. Snow levels will be between 1,600 and 1,800 meters, affecting higher elevations. Morning mist and fog are likely. Temperatures will remain steady or slightly increase, with highs around 14°C in Jaén and 19°C in Huelva. Westerly to southwesterly winds will be moderate to strong, with very strong gusts possible along the Mediterranean coast and in eastern highland areas.
Wednesday, March 12

Wednesday will see overcast skies with widespread light to moderate precipitation, occasionally accompanied by thunderstorms, particularly in the western half of Andalucía, including cities like Seville and Córdoba. These rains may be locally heavy or persistent. Snow levels will remain between 1,600 and 1,800 meters. Morning mist and fog are expected. Minimum temperatures will decrease, while maximum temperatures will see little change, with highs around 17°C in Seville and 15°C in Córdoba. Westerly to southwesterly winds will be moderate to strong, with very strong gusts in coastal areas and eastern highlands.
Thursday, March 13

The week concludes with overcast skies and widespread moderate precipitation, occasionally accompanied by thunderstorms in the western half of the region, affecting areas like Huelva and Cádiz. These rains may be locally heavy or persistent. Snow levels will remain between 1,600 and 1,800 meters. Morning mist and fog are likely. In the western half, minimum temperatures will rise, and maximum temperatures will decrease; in the rest of the region, temperatures will see little change, with highs around 17°C in Cádiz and 15°C in Huelva. Southwesterly winds will be moderate to strong, with very strong gusts in coastal areas and highlands.
