ARCHIVED - Andalusia health service hunts missing over-80s for vaccination
The Andalusian regional government has put out a call for members of the public aged over 80 who have yet to receive their coronavirus vaccinations to contact their local health centre urgently.
The health services aim to have contacted all residents over the age of 80 to give them at least their first dose of vaccine by Saturday, 10 April and has asked anyone who hasn’t been phoned with an appointment to contact their health centres directly. Special telephone numbers have been set up, which local media and municipal sources are posting on social media, or patients can ring or visit their health centre to ask.
Although every effort is being made to contact patients directly, in some cases the contact details are incorrect or appointments have not been attended, health service representatives have explained.
The health service reiterates the need for all residents to ensure that their contact details have been updated in order to guarantee that they receive their vaccination once their age bracket has been reached.
