ARCHIVED - British tourist, 24, dies in Ibiza hotel balcony fall
The young Briton is believed to have been holidaying in Spain with her boyfriend

A 24-year-old British holidaymaker has died in Ibiza after plunging from the second floor balcony of her hotel near the party hotspot of San Antonio.
The young woman’s boyfriend is understood to have also been in the room of the Rosamar Hotel at the time time of the horrifying incident. He told the receptionist that his partner had fallen nine metres from the balcony, and she contacted the emergency services.
Ambulances rushed to the hotel, situated in Sant Josep de Sa Talaia, shortly after 9am on Sunday September 25 but they were too late to save the life of the tourist.
“It all happened very quickly,” a hotel source said.
“The woman’s partner came rushing down to reception and that’s when police and paramedics were called.”
A post-mortem will be carried out on the woman’s body and a police investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the tragedy.
The Rosamar is a four-star adults’ only hotel located to the west of the island and just a stone’s throw away from Ibiza’s famous night spots.
This incident comes just days after a 50-year-old British paraglider died after crashing into a mountain-side in the Pico Gallinero in Spain.
At the beginning of September, a 35-year-old English holidaymaker plummeted to her death from a sixth-floor window of Palma’s Hotel Bellver and just last month, another British woman, aged 48, lost her life in a fall from the four-star Hotel Melia Palma Marina.
