ARCHIVED - Orihuela Town Hall greenlights 15 new taxi licenses
Five of the Vega Baja town's new taxis will be adapted for people with reduced mobility
Orihuela Town Hall has paved the way for the addition of 15 new taxis in the town and Costa after approving the bases for granting licenses.
Councillor for Urban Transport, José Galiano, has confirmed two of the licenses relate to Orihuela beach zones, and at least five of the cabs must be adapted for passengers with reduced mobility.
"We are expanding the current number of licenses within a sector that requires additional resources to respond to the demand throughout the municipality of Orihuela, especially during the summer months when our population multiplies considerably," he explained.
Anyone interested in the cab license concession will have a period of 20 calendar days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante to contact Orihuela Town Hall.
