Showers are likely in the Region of Murcia at the end of the weekend but the days will be mostly bright and sunny
Weather outlook on Saturday March 2
The weather in the Region of Murcia is expected to continue its stable trend at the beginning of March, with temperatures remaining around 20°C. However, strong gusts of wind are predicted to hit the region, marking a departure from the calm conditions seen earlier in the year.
The tail-end of February has already been marked by gales which reached peaks of 94 kilometres per hour in Yecla and 81 in Águilas, but this is set to calm down over the weekend and no weather alerts have been issued.
At the same time, daytime temperatures will remain pleasantly mild and the skies will be mostly clear, although there is a chance of some light rain during the weekend.
Thursday February 29
Mostly clear to partly cloudy skies are expected, with minimal temperature changes and isolated frosts in the northwestern mountainous regions. Daytime temperatures will gradually rise, while moderate northwesterly winds prevail with occasional strong gusts.

Cartagena: 11°C to 21°C
Lorca: 9°C to 22°C
Murcia: 9°C to 23°C

Friday March 1
The first day of the new month will be mostly bright with temperatures showing minor fluctuations and isolated frost in the northwest mountains. A moderate northwesterly breeze will transition to a southwesterly wind along the coast by midday, before subsiding in the late afternoon.

Cartagena: 11°C to 20°C
Lorca: 5°C to 20°C
Murcia: 9°C to 22°C
Yecla: 2°C to 15°C
Saturday March 2
Saturday will be partially cloudy or clear, with a tendency towards increased cloud cover by midday. Minimum temperatures will dip in low-lying areas, while remaining steady elsewhere. Gentle westward winds will strengthen to moderate speeds in the afternoon.

Sunday March 3
Overcast skies will be accompanied by light rain showers during the early morning hours, gradually clearing up to become partly cloudy by midday.
Minimum temperatures will rise, while the mercury during the day will dip inland and experience a slight increase along the coast. Westerly winds will blow moderately, easing up in the afternoon.
