Seats go on sale for Three Kings Parade in Murcia
Murcia city council has added an incredible 20,000 seats this year in what promises to be a night to remember
Christmas might still be a couple of weeks away but preparations are already in full swing in Murcia city for the biggest, brightest street celebration of the year: the Three Kings Parade on Sunday January 5.
This year’s parade will kick off at 6pm. Leaving from the El Infante neighbourhood, the all-singing, all-dancing procession will pass through the heart of the city along its traditional route (itinerary: Avda. San Juan de la Cruz (formation on C/ Vicente Aleixandre), C/ Mozart, Torre de Romo, Hermanos Cerón, Alameda de Colón, Pza. Camachos, Pza. Martínez Tornel, Gran Vía Salzillo, Avenida de la Constitución, Plaza Circular and the Big Christmas Tree).
So important is this event that before Santa even arrives, tickets for seats along the parade route have already gone on sale. You can secure your spot on the website cabalgatadereyes.compralaentrada.com.
Each January, Murcia tries to make the Three Kings Parade bigger and more impressive, so for the 2024 event, 6,000 extra seats will be up for grabs, taking it up to a total of 20,000 seats. And the best part is that you can nab pride of place along the route for just 6 euros per chair.
According to the council, this affordable price tag is intended to "promote equality among interested parties so that, regardless of their income, they can opt for all the seats, regardless of the row in which they are located."
All of the seats will be clearly marked but to avoid any conclusion, more than 200 staff will be on hand to guide spectators to their chairs.
At the beginning of the route, on Calle Vicente Aleixandre, a specific area will be set up for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) , where the procession will pass by, creating a calmer and more accessible environment so that everyone can enjoy this magical event. Tickets for this location can be purchased in person at the CERMI Murcia headquarters.
