Brit among three injured after boat explodes in Cabo Roig
The three victims suffered burns when there was an explosion inside a boat at Cabo Roig port
Two men and a woman, aged between 31 and 42, have received burns of varying degrees when an accidental explosion occurred inside a recreational boat in the port of Cabo Roig, in Orihuela Costa.
According to police sources, the explosion occurred at 9.57am on Tuesday June 11 and a Guardia Civil patrol was quickly sent to the scene, along with an ambulance and a helicopter.
As a result of the explosion, a 42-year-old Spanish man had to be airlifted to La Fe hospital in Valencia suffering from serious burns, while a 31-year-old Lithuanian woman and a 38-year-old British man were taken to Torrevieja hospital.
An investigation is currently being carried out by the Guardia Civil in Pilar de la Horadada.
