British holidaymaker, 60, found dead in Costa del Sol hotel room
The police were called to the Fuengirola hotel when the tourist failed to check out

A 60-year-old British tourist was found dead in a hotel room in Fuengirola on Friday morning, February 21.
The National Police of Malaga have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the death, which was discovered at 9.30am. The deceased had been scheduled to check out of the hotel the previous day, Thursday.
Emergency services were alerted to the situation and paramedics rushed to the scene, where they sadly confirmed the man's passing.
Initial reports suggest that there are no visible signs of violence or foul play, according to police sources. While the investigation is still in its early stages, authorities currently believe that there is no evidence of criminal activity.
As police work to piece together the events leading up to the man's death and provide some answers for his family, a post-mortem will be performed at the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML) to establish the exact cause of death.
