British Airways adds flights to Fuerteventura from London Gatwick for 2023
Fuerteventura becomes the fourth Canary Island on BA Euroflyer’s route map

BA Euroflyer, the Gatwick-based subsidiary of British Airways, has added Spain’s island of Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands to its route map for the autumn/winter flight season 2023.
As of on November 2, 2023, Fuerteventura will join Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria as the fourth Canary Island served by the short-haul airline.
The BA Euroflyer flights between London Gatwick Airport and Fuerteventura will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays during the winter season on a mix of A320 and A321 aircraft. A third flight will be introduced on Wednesdays starting from February 28, 2024.
The Thursday and Sunday flights BA2710 will leave from London Gatwick at 7.10am and are scheduled to arrive in Fuerteventura at 11.30am. The return flights BA2711 will head back to London on the same two days at 12.20pm and 12.45pm, respectively.
From February 28, 2024 onwards, BA2710 from Gatwick to Fuerteventura will depart at 9.05am every Wednesday and arrive on the Spanish island at 1.25pm. The return flight BA2711 from Fuerteventura to Gatwick will depart on Wednesdays at 2.10pm and arrive in London at 6.35pm.

Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Canary Islands and is well-known for its beautiful beaches, rugged coastline and vast natural landscapes.
BA has justified these winter flights due to the fact that Fuerteventura “is a popular year-round destination for water sport enthusiasts, with conditions lending themselves to activities including surfing, sailing, and windsurfing”.
Tom Stoddart, BA Euroflyer’s CEO, said, “Adding Fuerteventura means we now fly to the four largest Canary Islands, which are great options for families, couples and friends alike. Fuerteventura enjoys warm weather year-round, so it is a great option for those looking for winter sunshine without travelling further afield.”
They also elaborated on ticket prices, stating that return flights would be available from £129, while those booking a Euro Traveller (economy) flight-only ticket before June 18, 2023 can get more than 10% off, with early bird flights available from £114 for travel on selected dates between October 29, 2023 and March 27, 2024.
