Brits top the list for inclusive holidays in Spain – but where do they go?
UK visitors top the charts for holidays in Spain, while Americans spend the most

The data, released on Tuesday April 8, comes from TUR4all Travel — the specialist travel agency of Impulsa Igualdad, a federation of associations representing people with severe physical disabilities.
When it comes to destinations, Catalonia continues to attract the biggest share, welcoming 21% of accessible tourists. The Balearic Islands (17%) and Canary Islands (16%) aren’t far behind, while Andalucia (15%) and the Valencian Community (12%) are also seeing solid growth, thanks to their well-adapted sun-and-beach holiday offerings. Further north, Castilla y León and Galicia are growing in popularity too, especially with visitors interested in food, wine, and cultural heritage.
So, what are these travellers looking for? Half of them are after cultural and heritage-based experiences. A quarter prefer relaxing beach escapes, 20% are into nature and adventure, and 15% are drawn to shopping and luxury.
Interestingly, while Americans don’t make up the biggest group of visitors, they do spend the most — an average of €273 per person per day. According to the study, these travellers are especially keen on “cultural experiences, city breaks, and wellness tourism in destinations such as Madrid, Barcelona, Mallorca, and Seville.”
The report also sheds light on who these travellers are. A large chunk (around 70%) are aged over 46, often opting for more premium, cultural and wellness-based trips. That said, the younger 18–35 age group is also on the rise, particularly drawn by the increasing number of accessible festivals and events.
Spanish travellers are also on the move with 65% of Spaniards preferring international destinations. France proves to be the most popular (22%) location, followed by Italy (16%) and Portugal (13%). The other 35% stick to exploring Spain itself.
Looking ahead, the report recommends investing in high-value markets like the UK, US, Germany, and France by developing more personalised, premium experiences. It also points to opportunities in Eastern Europe and the Nordic countries, especially as demand grows for more sustainable and regenerative tourism options.
TUR4all Travel says it remains committed to offering “inclusive, sustainable, and quality tourism” that meets the needs of a diverse and increasingly demanding public.
