Camposol anti-Biogas Platform raises funds with Gofundme page
The Camposol Legal Platform Against Biogas, promoted by the GREEN CAMPOSOL Association, has launched a Gofundme page and needs your support

The Camposol Legal Platform Against Biogas, promoted by the GREEN CAMPOSOL Association (not to be confused with the recently disbanded AVC campaign), will initiate legal proceedings challenging the approval of the proposed biogas plant planned near the Camposol urbanisation, seeking its relocation to a more suitable site away from residential areas.
To support the legal costs involved in taking this action, the Platform has already raised a substantial amount by holding a Grand Halloween Fiesta which kicked the fund off splendidly, raising €4,000, but more will be required.
In addition to help generate funds to meet legal costs, the Platform has set up a Gofundme page where people can make donations. The amount raised so far is just past the halfway point to the target of €6,000. - Start the donation: Click the "Donate now" button.
- Choose donation frequency: Select whether you want to make a one-time or monthly donation.
- Enter the amount: Type in the amount you wish to donate. You can also adjust the optional tip (Swipe the Tip option to the far left to ensure your full donation goes directly to the cause).
- Enter payment details: Provide your payment information under the "Payment method" section. GoFundMe accepts credit/debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, among others.
- Donate anonymously (optional): To donate without your name appearing publicly, check the box that says, "Don't display my name publicly on the fundraiser".
- Confirm and complete: Click "Donate now" to finalise the transaction. You will receive a confirmation receipt.
The Gofundme link can also be found along with other information on the “Camposol Legal Platform Against Biogas” and “STOP Biogas Plant NOW Camposol” Facebook groups which have been set up to keep residents informed and involved in the fundraising activities.
Cash Donations
For those who do not use Facebook or online facilities, donations can be made at the Ibex insurance office on A Sector Commercial Centre or the Compusurf office on B Sector Commercial Centre.
Once the threat of the proposed biogas plant has been resolved, the Platform will be dissolved, as provided in its Statutes, while the GREEN CAMPOSOL Association will continue its environmental and community work in the area.
