ARCHIVED - Carrefour launches Flavours of the United Kingdom campaign in Spain
Supermarkets across Spain will stock a huge range of British products until June 9

There’s no doubting that Spain is a gastronomic gem, offering iconic national fare alongside delicious dishes from all around the world. But the UK is also known for its culinary delights and fresh, home-grown produce, and many expats sometimes get a hankering for some good old British fare.
Until now, shoppers usually had to pay through the nose for imported British foodstuffs, but no more. This week, Carrefour has launched its ‘Flavours of the United Kingdom’ campaign across 29 supermarkets and hypermarkets in Spain, which will run until June 9.

The initiative will see more than 300 UK products grace supermarket shelves in Spain, including British cereals, cookies, sweets and spirits, as well as a wide range of fresh cheeses, juices and deserts.
According to Carrefour, the campaign is not only aimed at British expats who may be missing some of the grocery staples from home, but also hopes to allow other nationalities explore the gastronomy and culture of the United Kingdom.
