Child injured after golf buggy plunges off bridge at Rojales golf course
The youngster was taken to Torrevieja Hospital after the buggy left the track and fell around three metres
A child was rushed to hospital on Monday July 27 after the golf buggy they were travelling in left the track and plunged around three metres from a bridge at a golf course in Rojales, Alicante.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 5.09pm, where firefighters found the youngster with multiple injuries after the buggy crashed below the bridge.
According to the Emergency Information and Coordination Centre (CICU), the child suffered several bruises and was taken by Basic Life Support ambulance to Torrevieja Hospital for treatment.
Firefighters said no one was trapped in the vehicle, but the child required medical attention at the scene before being transported to hospital.
A crew from the Almoradí Fire Station, including a corporal and four firefighters, was sent to assist alongside paramedics.
The circumstances surrounding the accident have not yet been confirmed.
