Corvera airport records nearly 825,000 passengers so far this year
Flights also experienced a slight increase in the first nine months of 2023

A total of 824,899 people have passed through the International Airport Region of Murcia in Corvera between January and October of this year, which means an increase in passengers of 4.8% over the same period last year, but 18% less than in 2019, before the Covid-19 pandemic hit.
According to airport management company AENA, flights have also increased by 0.5% during the first nine months of 2023, with 6,132 operations registered. Once again, this is down on 2019 figures by 15%.
In terms of passenger numbers in October, Murcia Airport handled 94,914 passengers, which is an increase in traffic of 4.8% over the same month of 2022, but 12.5% less than in 2019.
Of the total number of passengers in October, 93,899 were passengers on commercial flights, most of them international.
Also noteworthy is the increase in domestic passengers flying to and from destinations in Spain, which in October grew by 14.8% with 6,088 passengers.
As for the number of flights, Murcia Airport handled 701 flights this October, 0.3% more than in October 2022.
