Driver on wrong side of the road causes two accidents in La Manga del Mar Menor
Two people in a car and one motorcyclist were injured in the accidents
A driver has been arrested after causing two accidents last night on the RM-12 and CT-32 highways in the municipality of Cartagena. The accidents were caused due to the driver driving on the wrong side of the road.
At around 9.13pm on Sunday November 3, the Emergency Coordination Centre received numerous calls reporting that a vehicle was travelling in the wrong lane on the RM-12 highway in the direction of La Manga.
The driver caused the first injury to a 55-year-old motorcyclist. The bike rider injured his foot and was treated by an ambulance from the Emergency and Urgent Care Department before being transferred to the Santa Lucía General University Hospital in Cartagena.
The driver then joined the CT-32, also in the wrong lane, and collided with another car, injuring its two occupants, a 30-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman who were treated without needing to be taken to a medical centre.
The driver was arrested on the spot by the local police.
