ARCHIVED - EasyJet adds 90,000 seats from the UK this summer
The extra flights will travel to destinations such as Spain, Portugal and Italy
Low cost airline EasyJet has provided a big boost to holidaymakers by announcing an additional 90,000 seats this summer as Covid-weary Britons scramble to book a week in the sun.
The extra flights will operate from London Gatwick, London Luton, Bristol, Manchester and Liverpool and the trips won’t break the bank either, with flights to Malaga, Porto and Milan going for as little as 18 euros (£14.99).
The airline has jetsetters sorted with flights to some of the most population destinations including Malaga and Barcelona in Spain and Faro in Portugal, who have all recently eased their Covid restrictions to allow fully vaccinated passenger to arrive without diagnostic tests. Spain has also announced that unjabbed minors under the age of 18 will now be allowed to enter, once they can present proof of a negative PCR test.
For those who’d rather trade the sun for the slopes, additional seats have also been added to destinations such as Geneva, Grenoble and Salzburg.
EasyJet UK Country Manager Ali Gayward said: "We know that so many people have missed being able to holiday over the last two years and so it is a priority for many UK consumers.
"With low fares from just £20.99, hundreds of fantastic destinations to choose from, and many no longer requiring testing restrictions, now is a great time to book with easyJet."
