ARCHIVED - Gary Glitter sent back to prison before he can move to Spain
The disgraced star had hoped to move out to Spain after being released from prison, but has already been sent back

Just a month after he was let out, paedophile pop star Gary Glitter has been returned to prison for breaching his licence conditions, according to the UK Probation Service, scuppering any plans he had to move to Spain to be with his son.
Glitter (real name Paul Gadd) was released from HMP the Verne in early February, having served eight years of a 16-year sentence for sexually abusing three schoolgirls.
While in the bail hostel, he was reported to have said he wanted to move out to Spain where his son currently lives, so that he could “keep a low profile” because “Britain is dangerous”.
Now, it seems those plans have fallen through for the man that police have described as “dangerous” and a “habitual sexual predator”, and he has been sent back to his Dorset prison for a breach of his licence conditions.
He was caught on camera using a smartphone and apparently asking how he could access the “dark web”.
A spokesperson for the UK Probation Service said: “Protecting the public is our number one priority. That’s why we set tough licence conditions and when offenders breach them, we don’t hesitate to return them to custody.”
