Green Fingers Camposol raise nearly 500 euros for Royal British Legion
The volunteer gardeners are also continuing to improve the green spaces on Camposol
The hardy Green Fingers Camposol maintenance team and volunteers were out in the cold doing their weekly tasks around the urbanisation this Wednesday December 11.
Group member Matt was out early doing watering and pruning some of the palms while Ken, Jackie, John and Paul cut back some of the trees and then did some weeding. Alan and Kevin were on watering duties.
John and Paddy took charge of the collection buckets and received a superb 185 euros. They wish to extend their thanks to all those who donated and also to Cats Bar Camposol and Angie for doing the breakfasts.
Kevin also had the proud task of presenting Lesley Anderson, the Poppy Appeal co-ordinator of the Murcia Branch of the Royal British Legion, with a fantastic 488 euros, a record!
This was the money that was raised from donations for the Remembrance Crosses that were placed at the Memorial to the Fallen in November. A heartfelt thank you to everyone that donated.
