Residency holders can save €250 with new Region of Murcia travel voucher
The latest Bono Turístico is open to legal residents in Spain with more than 130 hotels and rural stays taking part

Anyone holding residency in Spain can save up to €250 on getaways in the Region of Murcia thanks to the return of a hugely popular tourist voucher scheme, officially called the Bono Turístico, with applications now open.
The programme offers a 50% discount on eligible travel costs, although the maximum subsidy is €250 including VAT. To qualify, visitors must stay for at least two consecutive nights at the same participating accommodation.
The scheme is open to adults who are legally and permanently resident in Spain. Applications opened on October 1 and will remain available until December 22, 2026, with vouchers issued in the order requests are received.
More than 130 tourism businesses are taking part, including 89 rural accommodation providers, 21 hotels, 13 travel agencies, five tourist apartments, two campsites and one hostel.
The accommodation must be registered with the Region of Murcia Tourism Business Registry and participating properties include hotels, rural guesthouses, tourist apartments, campsites and hostels.
The Regional Government has allocated €500,000 to the latest edition of the programme. A first round worth €150,000 is being made available now, followed by a further €350,000 between January and May 2027.
Minister for Tourism Carmen Conesa said the wider range of participating businesses would help encourage breaks in different municipalities and spread the benefits of the scheme across the Region of Murcia.
Travel agencies will also have an important role in handling reservations and providing eligible tourist services under the conditions set for each funding round.
There are a couple of important booking rules to remember. Once a reservation has been made, the beneficiary has seven days to complete payment. If payment isn't received within that period, the voucher expires.
Bookings also can't be made too far ahead. There must be at least seven calendar days and no more than 30 days between the booking date and the first day of the stay.
To apply, holidaymakers must first make a reservation with a participating accommodation provider or travel agency through the voucher management platform. They will then need to submit the application form and signed declaration of responsibility.
The voucher can be accessed through the official tourism website of the Region of Murcia, where the full list of participating businesses and application details are available.
