House fire destroys 4 homes in Orihuela Costa
The blaze broke out close to the residential areas of La Florida and Playa Flamenca

A fire broke out on Monday morning, April 14, in a residential building in Orihuela Costa, destroying four apartments but thankfully causing no serious injuries. Emergency services were alerted at 9.06am and the blaze was brought under control by 10.32am by crews from the Alicante Provincial Fire Consortium.
The fire began in an apartment on the second floor of a building located between Calle Victoria and Calle Paraná, close to the residential areas of La Florida and Playa Flamenca. It quickly spread to another unit on the same floor and then to two more apartments on the third floor.

Medical teams treated one person at the scene for an anxiety attack, but no further injuries were reported.
Firefighters arriving at the scene found the fire well advanced and worked to contain it and stop it from spreading to other parts of the building.
