A team from the Oceanogràfic Foundation in Valencia, including two veterinarians, planned the rescue operation. On January 28, 2025 using two boats, they successfully captured the turtle and transported it to the foundation's facilities. The turtle is now residing in Arca del Mar, a dedicated area for the protection of marine life, where it is receiving care and monitoring.
The foundation expressed gratitude to all involved in the rescue and highlighted the importance of community involvement in protecting marine life. They encourage the public to report any marine animals in distress to authorities promptly, as swift action can be crucial for their survival.
