Irish autistic child sexually assaulted while on holiday in Spain
The 11-year-old boy was targeted by a predator at a popular Tenerife resort
An 11-year-old child with autism, on holiday in Spain with his family, was sexually assaulted while playing with a group of other children in the popular resort town of Costa Adeje in Tenerife. The boy’s relatives chased the predator out of the hotel when they noticed the attack, which happened “in the blink of an eye” on September 18.
Spanish police later revealed that the suspect had been spotted hanging around the resort for several days and CCTV footage in the hotel clearly shows him putting his hands down the child’s pants and touching his genitals. The vile assault also took place right in front of the youngster’s family, who are understood to be from Ireland.
A source close to the Irish tourists said: “The family are shocked and appalled at what has happened. What was a lovely family holiday quickly turned into a holiday from hell.
“They are horrified the attack took place right in front of their eyes. One of the family members chased the man from the hotel.
“The last couple of days of their holiday was spent between the police station and the courthouse.
“They want to warn other families holidaying in Tenerife to keep an eye on their children at all times because this happened in the blink of an eye.”
Thankfully the suspect was quickly apprehended by police and has already been hauled up in front of a judge.
Back in August, a 17-year-old British boy was sexually assaulted by a taxi driver who picked him up in the party hotspot of Magaluf. According to the teen, who went to the police station with his mother to report the attack, the older man touched the youngster’s private parts before demanding that he perform sex acts on him.
