King's College Alicante Summer Camp 2024
Get ready for exciting summer adventures at King's College Alicante!
King's College, a British-educated international school for 3- to 18-year-olds located 10 minutes from the centre of Alicante city, opposite the EUIPO offices, is offering its English-language camp for pupils aged 3 to 16 this summer.
The school has state-of-the-art computer and science laboratories, music rooms, sports facilities, an auditorium for events, and an outstanding reputation for English language teaching, ensuring an optimal learning and development environment for its students.
What the King's College Alicante summer camp offers
The school offers a very special camp for children aged between 3 and 16 years old, combining recreation with an educational programme to maximise English language learning. To this end, language classes are combined with sports development and participation in various recreational and artistic workshops.
The aim of combining educational and leisure activities is to foster the personal and social growth of the students through the development of self-discipline and teamwork, while at the same time allowing for the improvement and acquisition of English-language skills.
To ensure integration, students are grouped by age and level of English, allowing them to enjoy both the activities and their classes in a balanced way.
In terms of timetables, the school has two options:
- 9am to 1pm with 20 English sessions per week, focusing on reading, speaking, writing and conversation, along with sports activities and workshops in English.
- 8.30am to 3pm with 25 English sessions per week, including an extra session to reinforce language skills. This timetable option also includes both additional activities during free time, as well as the development of a group project throughout the duration of the camp, which will allow students to develop their collaborative skills.
The camp also includes:
- English-speaking teachers
- Certified bilingual assistants
- Lunch and dinner
- Personalised attention
- Insurance
- Sports activities
- English-language sessions
Camp dates
Session 1: July 1 – July 12
Session 2: July 15 – July 26
English classes
At the camp, English is taught daily with an emphasis on the four language skills: listening, writing, reading and speaking, all of which are imparted using games, songs and technology.
Native English-speaking teachers create dynamic and engaging classes to facilitate learning. Although the King's College approach prioritises oral communication, grammar, reading and writing are also central to the programme.
Classes are held in small groups according to age and level and take place from Monday to Friday. One of the most interesting aspects that could perhaps be highlighted is the fact that at the end of the course, parents receive a personalised report on their child's progress so they can be sure that not only is their child having fun, but also that they are making progress.
