King's College Murcia evacuated due to bomb scare
More than 1,000 students at the British school in Murcia were immediately evacuated, although it turned out to be a hoax

The emergency situation for King's College Alicante and King's College Madrid was also activated for the same reason, as was the Lycée Français Institute in Alicante.
All these schools received an email at 8.30am warning of the presence of a bomb. Authorities acted swiftly to immediately evacuate more than 1,000 students and school staff.
Explosive ordnance disposal specialists from the Guardia Civil bomb squad thoroughly inspected the premises and ruled out any danger, giving the warning as false. The circumstances leading to the threat are under investigation by the relevant authorities. After ruling out the danger, the school was restored to normal, with pupils and staff returning to their classrooms.
At the same time, other schools around Spain, including those in Málaga, Pontevedra, Tenerife, Reus, Tarragona, Villareal, Castellón and Zaragoza, have all been the subjects of bomb scares this Monday December 18, and all of them have had to be evacuated as an emergency measure, although they have all been confirmed as hoaxes so far.
King's College is one of the most important British schools in Murcia and in Spain, and continues to offer quality educational services to expats and Spanish children in Infant, Primary and Secondary education.
