Marbella set to star in new British sitcom
Sitcom launch at Marbella International Film Festival spotlights a British couple’s bar adventures with colourful locals and expats

Set to debut on Saturday October 4 at the Red Dog Cinema in Puerto Banus, the launch is part of the Marbella International Film Festival. The event will include a red carpet appearance from cast and crew, an exclusive teaser screening, and a Q&A session. Guests will also be invited for drinks and interviews following the launch.
Ketchup is the brainchild of Joe Cawley, author of the bestselling memoir series More Ketchup than Salsa. It is directed by and stars Kevin McNally, a familiar face from acclaimed TV dramas such as Shackleton, Life on Mars, and The Crown, as well as the Pirates of the Caribbean films where he played the beloved Joshamee Gibbs.
Joining McNally is American actress Sandra Dickinson, whose career spans decades and includes a notable role as Trillian in the legendary 1981 TV series The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Dickinson also stars in the feature film Dead Actually, which will be screened alongside the Ketchup launch and is produced by Deanna Dewey, who also produces Ketchup.
The launch event runs from 4.30pm with the red carpet welcome, followed by the trailer unveiling and cast Q&A at 5pm. Attendees can then watch the feature film or enjoy refreshments with the creators and stars in a relaxed setting.
With its mix of humour, relatable characters, and stunning backdrop, Ketchup looks set to offer a unique and comedic slice of life in one of Spain’s most popular expat hotspots.
