ARCHIVED - More than a quarter of Spanish residents have received at least one dose of Covid vaccine
More than a quarter, 26.1 per cent, of residents in Spain have now received at least one dose of the vaccine, while 11 per cent have been fully vaccinated with two doses.
The latest Ministry of Health figures published on Tuesday, May 4 also revealed that 300,212 doses had been administered across Spain during the latest 24 hour period.
In Spain, 17,430,810 vaccines have now been administered, representing 82.6 per cent of the 21,092,475 doses that have been sent out among the country’s communities. In total, 5,202,297 people in Spain have now received two doses of either Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca or one dose of the Janssen vaccine and are fully immunised.
Spain yesterday received a further 3,482,250 doses of vaccine, including 1,690,650 from Pfizer, 214,800 from Moderna, and 1,576,800 from AstraZeneca.
According to the government, 70 per cent of residents in Spain, around 33.1 million people, will be vaccinated by the end of August.
