Murcia gets ready for Pride 2026 with a week of family events
Rainbow Family Day launches on June 14 ahead of the main march on Gran Vía on June 20

The No te Prives collective has unveiled the full programme for Murcia's 2026 LGBTQ+ Pride celebrations, and there's plenty to look forward to whether you fancy something family friendly or prefer to get stuck into the more festive side of things.
One of the standout additions this year is the brand new Rainbow Families Day, which will take place on June 14 in Plaza Circular. The event is aimed at promoting diversity from an early age, with workshops and activities designed especially for children and families.
Throughout the week, the Palacio de las Balsas will host a series of talks covering some important topics for the community, including discussions on the experiences of LGBTQ+ migrants and the realities faced by trans children.
Alongside these newer additions, the programme keeps hold of some of Pride's best loved traditions, including the High Heel Race, drag shows, cultural events and workshops.
Things will build towards the pre-Pride celebrations on Friday June 19, before the main event takes place the following day. On Saturday June 20, the big Pride march will set off along Gran Vía in the city centre, with the day wrapping up with a reading of the Pride manifesto.

What is Montessori?
The Montessori method departs from traditional teaching practices by placing the child’s interests, capacity to choose and natural abilities at the heart of the learning environment, rather than focusing on fitting all students into rigid, one-size-fits-all boxes. It is so popular with parents because it recognises their children as individuals and nurtures their natural curiosity in a collaborative way.
“CHARACTER CANNOT BE TAUGHT, AS IT COMES FROM EXPERIENCE, NOT FROM EXPLANATION.”
