ARCHIVED - No-appointment Covid testing points extended for two weeks in the Region of Murcia
Municipalities in Murcia will have extra staff to carry out testing
Due to the success of the free, no-appointment-needed Covid testing points which were set up across the Region during the first few days of 2022, the Murcian government has decided to extend the testing points at SUAPs (Primary Care Emergency Services, or health centres) in several municipalities.
The 300 staff employed to carry out the tests will continue to work for the next two weeks, allowing anyone who thinks that they may have Covid to get tested without needing to book an appointment.

Between January 5 and 9, a total of 19,027 Covid tests were carried out at the mobile testing points, which led to 3,606 positive cases being identified.
The regional government has also decided to request the extension of the current measures, which expire on January 14, until February 4, as well as announcing that booster jab appointments are now open to over 45s in the Region of Murcia.
