San Javier and Caravaca de la Cruz join forces for summer tourist boost
ARCHIVED ARTICLE -
The beaches of Santiago de La Ribera will promote everything Caravaca has to offer this summer season
An innovative tourism promotion campaign for Caravaca de la Cruz was unveiled last week on
the Explanada Barnuevo in Santiago de la Ribera.
This eye-catching initiative, a collaboration between the town councils of
San Javier and Caravaca de la Cruz, aims to showcase the municipality's cultural offerings to beachgoers along the Levante coast during July and August.
The presentation, held at the Miramar restaurant in Santiago de la Ribera, was attended by prominent figures, including the mayors of San Javier and Caravaca de la Cruz, José Miguel Luengo and José Francisco García, respectively, as well as the Councillor for Tourism of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Santiago Villa Plaza, and representatives from the Association of Hoteliers of Caravaca de la Cruz (Hodeca).
The campaign features a diverse range of promotional activities: aerial advertising with a light aircraft will grab the attention of beachgoers, flying over the coastline from the Mar Menor to Benidorm while on the ground, segway promotions will see Caravaca's cultural programming distributed on popular beaches such as San Javier, Mazarrón and Torrevieja.
Partnerships with Hodeca hotels offer special discounts with the promotional code VERANO24 and the Cadena Ser radio program "La Radio al Sol" will further enhance Caravaca's presence on the airwaves.
Finally, sponsorship of summer programs on 7 Región de Murcia will ensure continued visibility throughout the region.
José Miguel Luengo, Mayor of San Javier, has highlighted the importance of this collaboration: "We are delighted to work with Caravaca de la Cruz to promote our beaches and attract more visitors. This campaign is an opportunity to showcase the cultural and natural wealth of our region and strengthen tourism in San Javier and its surroundings."
Mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Francisco García, highlighted the positive impact already evident in the hospitality sector, and emphasised the importance of supporting cultural and family tourism for sustained growth.
This campaign aims to complement the promotional actions of the Institute of Tourism of the Region of Murcia (ITREM) and highlight the
Jubilee Year of Caravaca de la Cruz, promoting spiritual, cultural and religious tourism throughout the Region.
