ARCHIVED - Spain eases non-EU travel restrictions from March 1
From now on, UK citizens double jabbed with a WHO-approved vaccine will be permitted entry to Spain
From March 1, holidaymakers from the UK and other countries outside of the European Union can freely travel to Spain once they have been fully vaccinated with one of the World Health Organisation (WHO) approved coronavirus vaccines.
Prior to this change, non-EU travellers were only permitted entry to most countries if they had received double doses of the approved Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Janssen or Novavax jabs but on Saturday February 26, the Spanish government announced that it would lift the restrictions on non-essential travel for passengers with either EU or WHO-approved vaccines.

The relaxed measures mean that non-EU residents can now travel to Spain if they have received the Chinese Sinopharm (1099.HR) or Sinovac (SVA.O) jabs, or the Indian Bharat Biotec. AstraZeneca serums produced in India by the Serum Institute are also valid for travel.
Fully vaccinated passengers will still need to complete a locator form prior to travel and unvaccinated UK citizens are still banned from entering Spain for non-essential reasons, including tourism.
