Taking the step and moving with their family from cold but safe Sweden to the Costa Cálida in warm and sunny Spain was a big step for Lisa and Johan back in 2017, but actually easier than they thought.
Initially spurred on by the desire to live and work in one of the world’s healthiest climates, the Swedish couple came to the coast of Puerto de Mazarrón a few years ago to pursue their dream of having a real estate company in paradise.
Using their background in the financial sector and the boating industry, plus their experience investing in various properties in Sweden, the UK, the USA and in Spain since 2003, they set up Spaindinavia to cater to the needs of their fellow expats and Scandinavians who have a home in the Murcia region that they want to rent out when they’re not there. Starting to work in Spain and coming from Scandinavia gave them the perfect idea for a fun and self-explanatory name for their company: Spaindinavia.
Most of their real estate customers also come from one of the Scandinavian countries, and as clients can speak their native language at the agency, there is a natural connection which makes the whole process smooth and easy for the buyers.
