HAH offer care in the community in the Mar Menor area

HAH Mar Menor  have recently made changes to the services they offer to those struggling to cope at home, and needing a little  help in the Mar Menor area.  We no longer employ a full-time nurse, but have the services of a British Nursing Agency, who visit clients in their own homes by appointment.  We also have the services of a qualified physiotherapist, a counsellor and  a Foot Health Practitioner, who also visit our clients in their homes, again subject to assessment, and by appointment.  These services are also FREE (for medical reasons only) for a short period of time, but again, following assessment.

 HAH  do not replace the GP or hospital consultants, they just want to make life more comfortable following health problems/operations, and to this end have volunteers who go out to help subject to resources at the time, WE DESPERATELY NEED MORE.  

  These volunteers work for the good of the client, with kindness and generosity of their own time,  THEY DO NOT CHARGE.  We raise funds to pay for qualified care in our local community, along with a small mileage allowance for volunteers travel.  Last month alone, 5 clients saw the Nurse, 2 visits from the physio, 1 counselling session, and  6 foot treatments.  Our volunteers worked for 234 hours during April , helping these clients.  We already have 6 clients booked in for physio up to the end of May. All this was FREE to the client!

Tuesday July 29th Irish Tavern (formerly El Jardin), behind Euromarina in Los Alcazares, The fabulous Orbi Playa 12 piece Big band playing Sinatra, Bublé, Ella Fitzgerald, big band sounds and many more. Back due to demand for the 3rd year, this young group of talented musicians and singers from Cambridge in the UK will play 2 gigs this year as sell out quickly. Admission will be 5€ and food will be available. Tickets available from bar/HAH nearer the time. Celia 968 574 576

We also have our regular weekly book stall at La Zona, opp. Consum in Los Narejos Thursday from 2.30 - 4pm, and soon when Bingo re-starts Wednesday also.
