Sports and Social complex at Roda Golf and Beach Resort gets the green light

San Javier Town Council and Roda Golf & Beach Resort’s management team agree deal to move forward with sports and social complex
The Roda Golf & Beach Resort Urbanistic Entity – which is the elected management team for the resort, formed by owners and on behalf of the owners, and is known as EUCC – have reached an agreement with San Javier Town Council to start work on the much anticipated sports and social complex which will be located near ther entrance to the resort. It is estimated that the construction works of the first phase of the project will start in the first four months of 2024.A team lead by the architect Valentín Martín Fanjul has prepared the project, legalities and financial terms of the Project. San Javier Town Hall and the EUCC, which is managed by community administration company Resortalia and which has been heavily involved in securing the new complex, signed the contract and specifications for the project on October 19, 2023. The contract specifies that San Javier Town Hall will cede the municipally owned land plot P22 for the construction of a facility comprising sports facilities, social spaces and playground equipment.
The signing of the contract marks the culmination of a technical and administrative process and is a historic milestone for the EUCC after more than seven years of work. The process has the firm commitment of the leaders of the San Javier Town Council, especially the Mayor, José Miguel Luengo Gallego, who has supported the initiative since 2019.The addition of this sports and social complex, which is to be officially named ‘Roda Golf Plaza’, will not only bring additional and much-needed facilities to the owners on the resort, but will also provide added value to the resort’s properties.
The construction of the new Sports Areas and Social Club, which will be the main meeting place for residents, will facilitate fun and recreation for children and adults and will promote a notable increase in activities and social events in this urbanisation. The first phase of Roda Golf Plaza includes an area with sports courts, consisting of three paddle tennis courts, a multi-sports court, including 5-aside football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, etc. making Roda Golf Plaza a great contribution not only for the Roda Golf urbanisation but also for the entire municipality of Roda.
