Temperatures hit 23 degrees: Murcia weather forecast January 6-9
Following a dull and damp start, the mercury will shoot up in the Region of Murcia from mid-week
Average temperatures expected on Thursday
A succession of storms is forecast to hit Spain this week, leaving behind overcast skies and widespread rain. The Region of Murcia will escape the worst of the weather, although the week will be rather dull with a chance of showers, especially in the north.
However, once we get past the mid-week hump the temperatures will start to climb, soaring into the 20s in many areas.
Monday January 6
Monday will be very overcast throughout the Region, with the chance of showers in most parts, particularly in the north during the early morning. It will clear a little in the afternoon to reveal some sunny spells and the evening should be much warmer than previous days, more noticeably inland.
The day will be mild enough, with temperatures maxing out at 17ºC.
Westerly winds will be blustery along the coast at times, and yellow alerts for rough sea conditions have been activated in Lorca, Águilas, Cartagena and Mazarrón.
Tuesday January 7
The skies will still be partly cloudy on Tuesday but it will be much brighter than the previous day. Night-time temperatures will take a dip, with frosts forecast inland, with few changes expected in the day-time temperatures.
The wind will drop to light or moderate, so the weather alerts have been lifted.
Wednesday January 8
We’re back to largely cloudy skies on Wednesday although the day-time temperatures will take a jump, reaching an unseasonably warm 20ºC in Lorca and Murcia. There’s a chance of light rain and showers inland during the afternoon and that light breeze could feel stronger in coastal areas.
Thursday January 9
Thursday promises to be mostly bright and sunny with some cloudy intervals and the temperatures will shoot up again, hitting a very pleasant 22ºC or 23ºC in Murcia and Cartagena.

- Tuesay January 7: Min 1ºC; Max 18ºC
- Wednesday January 8: Min 3ºC; Max 20ºC
- Thursday January 9: Min 6ºC; Max 23ºC
