Temperatures soar to 26 degrees: Spain weather forecast Feb 12-15
The stormy episode will give way to much more settled weather across Spain this week
Weather outlook on Thursday February 15
Following the onslaught of Storm Karlotta over the weekend, calm weather will return to Spain during the next few days after a fairly dreary start to the week. Daytime temperatures will begin to climb across the board from Monday, and the thermometers will continue to rise as the days go by, reaching a much hotter than average 24 or 26ºC in the extreme south by Thursday.
Monday February 12
The skies will be mostly cloudy on Monday, particularly in the extreme north and south of the country, where there’s also a good chance of rain.
Temperatures will rise throughout, especially in the south and central regions, which means the frosts will be confined to mountainous areas of the north and central Spain.
Very strong westerly and southwesterly gusts have placed several regions under an orange weather alert, including Andalucia, the Valencian Community and the Region of Murcia.
Tuesday February 13
These winds will be far less intense on Tuesday and the Atlantic front will weaken considerably too, so although the skies will still be overcast, the rains in the north will subside as the day goes on.
Daytime temperatures will continue to climb in the entire country and the evening will also be warmer everywhere but the extreme south of Spain.
Wednesday February 14
The weather will settle down considerably on Wednesday, although the skies will still be mostly cloudy. Later in the day a front will enter through the northwest, bringing lots of rain to Galicia.
Suspended dust is forecast in the Canary Islands, which could spread and hit eastern parts of mainland Spain in the evening.
Temperatures will rise across most of Spain, especially in the south and central regions. However, the southeastern coast will see a drop in temperatures. Frosts will only occur in the Pyrenees Mountains and possibly in other mountainous areas in the centre and north of the country.
Thursday February 15
Thursday will again be dull in most of the country and abundant rain is expected in the north. This could extend further south as the hours go by, but is unlikely to reach the Mediterranean coast or the Balearic Islands.
The suspended dust present on Wednesday will persist, but it will weaken as it crosses the country from west to east.
Temperatures will tend to decrease in the west of the country and in the Canary Islands, and will increase in the east.
