Three foreign nationals arrested after large marijuana plantation dismantled in Torre Pacheco
A warehouse with more than 2,000 cannabis plants was discovered and shut down by police during a planned operation targeting drug trafficking

Police in Murcia have dismantled a major marijuana plantation hidden inside a commercial warehouse in Torre Pacheco, arresting three men of Latvian, Lithuanian and Czech nationality on suspicion of drug trafficking and electricity fraud.
The operation, part of an ongoing national campaign to dismantle large-scale cannabis cultivation sites linked to international drug trafficking, began earlier this year. It culminated in a raid last March, during which officers seized 2,037 marijuana plants at various stages of growth.

Officers arrested three men at the scene and were able to determine the specific roles each had within the operation. All three have previous police records for a range of offences, and were charged with drug trafficking and electricity fraud. Two of the suspects were remanded in custody following their appearance in court.
