ARCHIVED - Two new high-speed train services operate between Barcelona and Madrid
There are now 54 daily trains between Barcelona and the Spanish capital
Spain’s national rail company, Renfe, has launched two new direct high-speed AVE trains between Barcelona and the capital, one running in each direction. With these new services announced on Wednesday November 16, there are now 54 daily trips between Madrid and Barcelona.
From Sunday to Friday, the new trains will depart from Barcelona at 9.20pm and arrive in Madrid at 11.50pm. Running in the opposite direction, trains will leave Atocha station at 9.10pm with an arrival time in the Catalan capital of 11.40pm.
On Saturdays, trains will depart from Barcelona at 8.25am and from Madrid at 9am.
