ARCHIVED - UK Covid travel restrictions update on February 11
The testing and quarantine rules for international travel to England will change on February 11
The UK government has announced yet more changes to the entry guidelines for people travelling to England from abroad.
From 4am on February 11, fully vaccinated passengers won’t have to take any tests after arriving in England – neither a lateral flow test or a PCR.
Instead, they will only need a Passenger Locator Form.
This only applies to eligible fully vaccinated passengers, which means those who have been jabbed with recognized WHO vaccines and had their final dose of the vaccine at least 14 days before they arrive in England, not including the day they were vaccinated.
In addition, these eligible fully vaccinated passengers will not have to self-isolate when they arrive in England.
Travelling to England after February 11 if you’re not fully vaccinated
People who haven’t had at least two shots of the coronavirus vaccine will need to show proof of a negative Covid-19 test taken up to two days before their journey to England.
They will also need to book and pay for a PCR test which is to be taken within two days of arriving in England. This test needs to be booked before travelling.
There is no need to quarantine unless the result of the PCR test comes back positive.
These new rules will come into place just a month after the UK changed its rules on January 7 removing the need for pre-departure tests for fully vaccinated travellers.
