Weather roller coaster of heat, wind and rain: Alicante forecast Jan 18-21
Temperatures will drop to just 8ºC in Alicante province over the weekend before the heat returns
Weather outlook on Saturday January 20
Alicante has been enjoying a January heatwave over the last few days with temperatures exceeding 25ºC in large parts of the province thanks to several warm air masses passing over southern Spain.
However, we’ll need to dust off the coats this coming weekend as the temperatures are set to drop, before climbing upwards again early next week.
Thursday January 18
The day promises to be bright and sunny with some cloudy intervals. Night-time temperatures will fall across the board but the mercury will remain largely unchanged during the day.
A moderate west wind will feel more blustery along the coast but this should die down towards the evening.

Denia: 12ºC to 23ºC
Elche: 12ºC to 23ºC

Friday January 19
Friday will be more overcast with rain forecast in northern Alicante which could spread to the rest of the province in the form of scattered showers. Both daytime and night-time temperatures will begin to drop.

Saturday January 20

On the coast, a moderate wind from the north and northeast will make the day feel a little cooler.

Alicante: 10ºC to 15ºC
Denia: 7ºC to 15ºC
Elche: 9ºC to 14ºC
