Which supermarkets are open on Dia de la AndalucÃa, February 28?
Andalusia is the only region in Spain celebrating a bank holiday this weekend
This weekend, Andalusia will be the only autonomous community in Spain enjoying a three-day long weekend in honour of Dia de Andalucía, or Andalucía Day, on Friday February 28.
Since schools and most businesses will take this Friday off, many shopping centres, small stores and supermarkets will remain shut, or at least reduce their opening hours.
Here are the hours of operation of some of the most popular shops:
Carrefour
- Friday February 28: Closed.
- Saturday March 1: Regular opening hours.
Mercadona
- Friday February 28: Closed.
- Saturday March 1: Open regular hours from 9am to 9.30pm.
Dia
- Friday February 28: Closed.
Lidl
- Friday February 28: Closed.
- Saturday March 1: Open regular hours from 9am to 9.30pm.
Aldi
- Friday February 28: Closed.
- Saturday March 1: Open regular hours from 9am to 9.30pm.
Eroski
- Friday February 28: Closed.
- Saturday March 1: Open regular hours from 9am to 9.30pm.
